Getting Started

What is TipTide?

TipTide is a Pacific-built platform that lets creators earn money directly from their audience — no bank account required. Fans send tips in USDC (a digital dollar) straight to the creator’s wallet. No middleman, no delays, no borders. Built in Apia, Samoa by Synergy Blockchain Pacific.

Who can join TipTide?

Any Pacific creator — musicians, storytellers, cultural practitioners, video creators, community leaders, gamers, and streamers. You need to verify your identity before you can earn. This keeps the platform safe and compliant for everyone.

Is TipTide a bank or financial institution?

No. TipTide is a technology platform and payment infrastructure — we never hold your funds. All USDC lives in your own Base wallet. We operate within Samoa’s current regulatory framework and support the government’s developing position on digital assets.

How do I know TipTide is legitimate?

TipTide is built and operated by Synergy Blockchain Pacific Limited, registered in Apia, Samoa. All transactions are recorded on the Base public blockchain — fully transparent and verifiable. Every creator’s identity is verified before they can earn. Contact us directly at anthony@synergybcpacific.com with any questions.

Money and Payments

What is USDC?

USDC is a digital currency where 1 USDC always equals approximately 1 US dollar. It runs on the Base blockchain. Unlike Bitcoin, USDC does not fluctuate in price — it stays stable, making it safe to earn and hold.

What do I need to receive tips?

Just an email address. Magic creates your USDC wallet automatically — no app to download, no seed phrase to manage, no gas token to buy first. Your wallet is ready the moment you finish onboarding.

How much does TipTide cost?

Tips under $50 USDC: 3% fee (a $1 tip costs 3 US cents). Tips of $50 or more: flat $1.50 USDC, no matter how large the amount. This makes TipTide significantly cheaper than traditional remittance services or bank transfers for larger amounts.

How do I cash out to local currency (WST)?

TipTide does not convert USDC to WST directly at this time. You can withdraw your USDC to a cryptocurrency exchange and convert from there. We are actively working on local cash-out options and banking partnerships — this is a priority for us.

What if something goes wrong with a transaction?

Base transactions are permanent and cannot be reversed — this is how blockchain technology works. Always double-check the wallet address before sending. TipTide is not liable for funds lost due to sending to the wrong address, lost seed phrases, or scams. This is why we require you to confirm your seed phrase is safely stored before your account activates. Treat your seed phrase like cash.

Security — Read This Carefully

Will TipTide ever ask for my seed phrase?

No. Never. TipTide will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, or wallet password — not by email, not by phone, not in person, not ever. Anyone claiming to be from TipTide and asking for your seed phrase is running a scam. Report it immediately to anthony@synergybcpacific.com.

Someone overseas contacted me saying they can help me earn more. Is this real?

No. If someone you do not know contacts you offering to help with your TipTide wallet, invest your USDC, multiply your earnings, or access your account — this is a scam. TipTide does not have external agents, representatives, or third-party helpers. Only use the official platform at tiptide.synergybcpacific.com.

How do I keep my wallet safe?

Write your seed phrase on paper — never screenshot it, never save it in a text message or cloud note. Store that paper somewhere safe and private. Never share it with anyone. If you lose your seed phrase, your USDC is permanently and irrecoverably lost. TipTide cannot help you recover it — no exceptions.

Is the platform secure?

We have built protection measures including identity verification (KYC), two-factor authentication, and transaction monitoring. However, blockchain transactions are irreversible — your own security practices are your first and most important line of defence. We are committed to ongoing security improvements and responsible disclosure.

Content and Community

What content is allowed?

Music, video, written content, cultural content, community discussion, and political oratory. No sexually explicit material — zero exceptions. Cultural content is community-governed and fully supported.

Education and Support

Can I learn how to use this?

Yes. TipTide and Synergy Blockchain Pacific will be running community workshops where you can learn how to set up a wallet, receive tips, and use USDC safely. Follow our channels or email us to find out about upcoming sessions.

Why is this important for Samoa and the Pacific?

Every tip sent through TipTide to a verified Pacific creator is USDC entering the local economy — visible, trackable, and instant. As more Pacific diaspora use TipTide to support creators back home, this builds real digital currency reserves for Pacific nations and demonstrates that innovative economic infrastructure can be built within current regulatory frameworks. We are committed to working alongside government and the Central Bank of Samoa as digital asset legislation develops.
